I managed to catch my wrasse jumping out (I've lost 3 in the last 6 months from jumping..) and scooped 'em up and threw him back in the tank with no ill effects.

But yeah. Those suckers like to carpet surf.

Im afraid Ratfink, my wiener dog will get to them before I will if they flopping around the floor....
