They can be, although I haven't done it yet, but easiest way is to get the reef angel cables for controlling the WP wavemakers with reef angel and patch those cords into the 0-10v cord for the apex. There is a built in resistor I think it is in the reef angel cable to turn the 0-10v signal to 0-5v which is what the WP requires to be controlled. I have cables here, just haven't had time to do the modification myself yet =) |

![]() How much do the controllers cost and what exactly do they do?

![]() Jason I have two WP 25 on my 120 and I have to keep them dialed down to almost the lowest settings. Personally I would do two 25 rather then one 40.

![]() The controller that comes with the WP40's has a ELSE mode on it for somewhat random waves, but from what I've read it isn't actually random but a set ramp up/down and if you plug in/power 2 at the same time they will follow almost the same random pattern, which may or may not be issue depending on what you're trying to accomplish. If you have a apex controller you can use 2 variable speed ports with 2 modified Reef Angel cable and have completely different profiles for how the pumps are run to your own desire

![]() I use the controller that comes with it, it has multiple different settings and I am happy with it. I can't comment on how much better it would be with a separate controller.
My tank is a mix of LPS and a few softies. |
