You know this will never happen, how are you suppose to view all the beautiful fishes when there's writing everywhere

As usual, I'm late to the party. I live in Brooks, and our store doesn't have much. Medicine Hat is good, but I don't go there much. When I make it to Calgary, I like to check out a store or two. But, since I go so infrequently..I feel like a tourist so, I like to plan ahead where I'm going. Trying to find stores online is a HUGE help. It's the 'little extra' that will bring me to a store and possibly make me a loyal customer. Just my 2 cents. Take care, everyone.

Part of my career was spent working with inventory control systems, POS systems, etc. I wouldn't say it's trivial to set up an inventory system that will automatically update a corporate website with availability etc. But I will say that it is relatively easy now. There are companies in Calgary that specifically do this for business clients.

The ISSUE is that many companies, particularly small ones, don't like changing the way they are doing things or investing in live ICS/POS systems because they perceive the benefits as being outweighed by the cost/effort.

For a place like Gold's? Who knows if they pull in the cake to purchase and maintain these systems. Once they are set up they can be relatively simple to use.

The customer community is changing for all retail areas from shopping in big malls, box stores etc. to online shopping. The free shipping most customers get when online shopping in the US has really given it a shot in the arm.

Yes but there are other advantages to a cash drawer system with no accurate inventory control methods for a store that has a lot of die off on a regular basis.

I was just there and didn't think to check. They are a little thin on reef and marine fish at the moment.
