![]() I used to have this problem as well. I have a korallia nano in my ATO tank to stir up the water whenever my ATO pump turns on. I use a Tom's aqualifter so I don't have to worry too much about running dry. I have the intake of the pump higher than the power head so it won't run dry.
I ran into the same problem with forgetting to fill the ATO tank. So I just used a float valve and wired it to my controller to email me when it gets to a certain level. I like the flashing light idea though. I can see when that is useful because I walk past the sump room and it would be a great visual reminder! Thanks for the idea. Great share! |

![]() Are your floats switches under water. I read that is not a good idea. Did you seal them somehow?

My switches aren't sealed and are submersed I test them every couple weeks and all is good so far, especially now that my ATO tank is clean |
