Default brain coral looks like it is melting in one spot.

So when I bought this coral it had a split down the middle. Essentially 2 brains with about half an inch between them. It has grown quite nicely over the last couple months but now where the two sides met in the middle, it looks like it is melting. It will puff up sometimes, then other times get all floppy looking. Any idea what is going on?

You're welcome. I have a brain coral that does that all the time for almost a year, but it has yet actually produce anything. Lots of foreplay, no action.
