Tank has cleared up well
So I am a bit confused about something. I have 30+ pound of LR (cured) sitting in a bucket and I will also be using 20+ lb of LR in my tank. Can I put the new LR in today and then put the old rocks tomorrow? And how long can I keep the corals in a bucket without any issue?

A heater and a small power head will allow you lots of time. Just consider how long it takes to ship a coral from South Pacific to Canada. I imagine your transferring the tank in one day? One mistake I made on a previous transfer was that I put acros on frag rack while I should have taken them out before I system moving rock and sand. The ammonia and H2S killed all my deep waters. ![]() |

I will be sucking up some water from 20 gallon, transfer the corals and fishes and then will move the rock since I also have an experience of nitrate spike when I stirred the sand once.Removed the light from the 20 gallon and turned it on over the 70 gallon. Gives a much better spread But I doubt whether these will be enough for the corals. Possibly will add two more T5s ![]() ![]()

Y not put the fish and coral in a tote until you get the rock in. That way there's no chance of dropping rock on coral or stress the fish more than needed.
Less clutter to work around too |
