Thought about that, but I recall years ago trying to remove xenia that way, never worked
Maybe scrape the shell area with an exacto blade?

I had great luck with a needle and boiled vinegar though 40 is quite a bit

Yeah thats how I did them too. Needle and vinegar. Worked well, but then 40 is a lot. But hey, just sit down with some beers and getter duun!

Place empty clam or oyster shells on top of the nem, they will climb on top to get to the light. Toss out the shell.
