Yes as far as I know. If you can use digital on S5-8 then that's a better option but the latest manual for latest firmware on P2 states otherwise. P3 however allows this which I run now so I can't check for you.

I'm sure I can get it to work just hate messing with it now that I have everything programmed and running smoothly. In all reality I just want to put a power bar closer to a few devices instead of running a cord across the tank.

If I just broke down and bought a p3 would that make things easier?

it would give you access to all the latest products, and all accessories other than the box are transferrable
