Not sure what you are after by means of crazy, but when I had my 500 gal my red Capricornus reached a size of 29" across and then i had to continuously trim it back, And I planted a green one in the middle and it started growing colored layers as I placed another red piece in the center of the green. Looked pretty neat until I had a mishap which cost me all if my SPS

Ya, I love big caps. I had a massive electric green one until I had a crash

By crazy, I'm looking for the most unusual, intensely coloured, unique corals

agreed.....my final decision on the Illumina 260 I am running will be in by xmas I suspect...I recently added 3 UV modules, and am going to get either 2 more UV or 2 blue...........I have some nice SPS now and have my alk under control with a doser.....time will tell

Overall, if you have Radiums and no GOOD (cost, evaporation, etc) reason to switch them out, I'd stick with them.

My final decision was in in 3 weeks. I had to go LED for evaporation reasons, so gotta live with it, but I miss my Radiums The vertex may offer better quality light, so hopefully you get different results.
I've got my alk a bit low too, so I'm trying to bump that a bit, but that still won't bring back the lost colors, just a bit of the pop.

Agree with Brad. Halides are still the bomb, but LEDs offer way more positives for that tiny bit of personal preference of halides
