 In goes water, fresh to test her out and flush out anything else and then we start over with salt.New pump is s monster and with that comes noise, now to insulate pipes and the sump room..... Sent Via The Pirate Ship....... Garrrrrrrrr

Nice looking build! Looks like you rubbed a few people the wrong way making comments about "fake" drop offs.
 I think the box in a box is a much safer design, I'm not sure I would trust that stress point in my house! I will happily watch your thread though! Hehe. Your pipes are noisy because of your drain design. Dual drains for Herbie overflow would be dead silent. I have Herbies one 3 tanks now, won't do it any other way.

The water has been flowing for 12 hours now... No leaks, all the water stayed on the right side of the glass box but I do find this pump a tad loud.
Nitrifying bacteria is flowing through the system and waiting for that cloudy look to clear up!!! Sent Via The Pirate Ship...

Isn't the pump in the basement? How is it loud up at the display?
