Default Quick question about wavemakers, timers and powerheads.

So I am setting up a 55g tank with fish, live rock, anemones as well as some coral later on down the road. Would it be worth it to pony up the money for something like an mp10 now, or even getting a wavemaker and the proper powerheads for it, for the current control or would I be fine with two Tunze 6045's making a circular flow? Any help, advice or personal experiences would be great.

What are you planning to put in it livestock/coral wise?

As for fish it will be a jawfish, some clowns, orange spotted diamond goby, later on a blue mandarin goby and maybe some other stuff if I am not overloading my tank. As for the corals I don't really have a good idea of what I would put in there. This is my first salt tank so I am still rather new at this.

I guess my main question would be is it alright to have continuous flow from the powerheads or should I be investing in a wavemaker system?

You don't necessarily need a wave maker system, although they are nice and do have their benefits. Most people don't bother investing in one and they have beautiful, highly successful reef tanks.
