I think the clarity and colour issue shouldn't be down-played. As you get much larger than 300 or 400 gallons, you start building with thick glass. IMO, that thick glass creates green tint even if you use low iron glass. I'm not saying that acrylic is without problems, I'm just trying to clear up some misconceptions.
