If you buy one you will get to pick it from a wysiwyg selection of photos taken when shipment arrives. However picking will be in order of first paid, first pick. I.e. If you are the tenth person to buy a clam, the nine people who paid before you will get to pick their clams before you and when they have done so you will pick from the remaining specimens.
