Default Adding new sand

So I have been dealing with cyano for the past month or so and I've been sucking it out when I do my twice weekly water changes of 5g and my sand bed is deminishing.

What is the best way to add new sand back into the tank with out causing a ruckus?

I have found it easiest to first rnse the sand well then place in a plastic ziploc bag. Move it to the bottom, open and slowly empty it. For my 90 get I add 3 or 4 cups this way spread over the existing sand with no issues.

Thanks guys... I actually am
Going to wait cause I now have to move in a month and a bit and figure I can add more sand when I reset the tank back up... Should be a "fun" time moving it... It may be small but I've never moved a tank before let alone a tank
