I have never had a problem. If you are concern just give them a faster tumble for a couple days.

There are so many people having issues with pellets by improperly following the manufactures guide on proper use. If you google search for a guide for use it states to soak overnight.

Reefme, follow manufacture's guide to use to the letter for optimum results.

mj 1200 should work as long as you did not overfill your reactor with pellets

I've been running my pellets now for 8 months and I still only have my reactor 1/3 full, you might want to start less pellets and that should also help your tumble rate. You may need to soak them a bit longer as well.

Also how much did you put in your reactor? You should start off at 1/4 the recommended amount then gradually increase.
