Not sure which cable you're asking about:
Hanging cables attachments can be removed, they just screw on. Once removed, there are holes which I can screw something else into it. I know this is probably the most viable way to use those brackets, but the problem is the electrical cable is in the way of the metal plate. I have thought of using a washer/spacer and use longer screws to attach it. However, the hole on the left is quite close to the electric cable as in the pic, so the washer/spacer needs to a specific size/shape. Knowing my hardware stores, I don't think I can find something as specific as that... Electrical cables, not sure why you want to remove it, but I don't think it's removable. |

I also thought about this idea.
![]() but I'm worried about the structural integrity (strength) of the narrow parts of the bar at 1. between the hole and the nick for the cable. and 2. the part holding the left end to the centre. |

I'm not sure how much it weighs exactly, but it's chassis is 1/8" Aluminum, and the heatsink is aluminum as well I believe.
If you ask me, I'd say it'd weigh a couple pounds (hand estimate), so each side of the plate would need to hold up ~1 pound. |

Thought I would share what I have done for my Radion's. I made this out of aluminum angle bar. Drilled it and notched out where the controls are on my Radion's. Works awesome!

Martin would you be able to sell me something that would fit for my 30 gallon cube? The plumbing is in the back so i would need the mounting bracket to fastened at the exterior edges of the tank stand. I cant find mounting brackets anywhere online that ship to canada. Any input would be much appreciated!
Here is a pic of the back of my tank |

Looks great! Some black gloss spray paint from HD or somewhere does a good job of matching to the color of the Radions.

That is what I was thinking of as well but not an 'L' shaped notch just a straight slot at a bit of an angle. If I made it out or 1 1/2" x 1/4" flat bar it would last longer then the light.
