Home Depot and Rona sells them in 10' lengths for cheap. Just cut the lengths you need with a mitre saw.

I'm not sure what you mean by regular shedule 40? Shed 40 is just the wall thickness. The pipe HD and Rona is fine for aquariums. I guessing its what 90% of the tanks on this site are plumbed with. If it's safe for drinking water, it's fine for our tanks (assuming it's not copper or brass). If you're really worried though, there is a B&G in the Maryhill Industrial Park that will have anything you'd need.

Yeah, it's regular PVC pipe and will be the same white sched 40 that you buy from anywhere else. HD and Rona only sell it not manufacture it.

I get all mine from Corix - you could also try them. They have multiple locations.

I use the pipe from Rona or homedepot all the time no problem with it at all.

Corix all the way. 5 bucks max for a 10 footer compare to Rona 15-20.
