It took me a few times reading it through very very slowly, moching what I needed to do before I totally got the gist. But once I had it down it is fairly simple.

Step 1: 3mL of tank water, add drops of A until colour change.
Step 2: 3mL of new water, 5 drops of B, small scoop of purple chrystals, add drops of D until colour change. (I find 99% of the time the magic # is 5 so half the time I skip step 2) Step 3: subtract # of drops in step 2 from # in step 1 and multiply by 50. eg. (32 drops of A) - (5 drops of D) = 27 drops x 50 = 1350 Unless the kit has changed very recently?

Putting it they way you did Mandosh it does sound very easy but if you miss read where fase 2 starts & miss the " repete as per point 1.1 " it can be a little confusing. I don't know why they could not have just started fase 2 with a repeat printing of exactly what printed in 1.1.
