Make sure you download R3 software now available and also as above check your grouping seems you are running them independantly.

How far above a 30" tank can the lights be mounted and still remain effective to the bottom of the tank?

depends on the depth of the tank, the recommendation is 8" above for a 24" tank surface area.

If you dont have SPS on the floor then you can see how one goes.

I've been using 1.3 since it was released on Nov.4th and I'll check the grouping tonight...
