Mikey's 25G Cube Upgrade
Hey everyone!
My three year anniversary of getting wet in this hobby is fast approaching and I'm celebrating with an upgrade! Initially I was planning to do a fully custom setup but when a rocking deal came up on CanReef, I really couldn't pass it up. So, on Saturday I drove to Calgary, picked up the tank, stopped in at Red Coral for a return pump and new heater, and then drove home. It was an exceptionally long day on the road, but I made it back in one piece. This is L0renzo's old tank, a 25g starfire cube with internal overflow. It's got a really cool custom stand (which is MASSIVE) that was in pieces for transport. I built it this morning before going back to Regina. I'm working in Regina for the summer before my last year of university, so I'll be working on this thing whenever I can get back to Saskatoon on weekends. I moved my 15g down to Regina with me and I'm hoping I don't have to move the tank and stand back when I return to Saskatoon. But I'm getting a tad ahead of myself... lots of work left to do. Here's some pics of the stand re-assembly: And its current resting space! More to come! |

I should have the plumbing together tomorrow. Might even try and get some water in for a test!

25G Cube - New Pics Sept. 24
New pics from today. Figured I'd snap some shots as an update since I haven't done much since the I got back to Saskatoon in this thread. I had to edit with iPhoto and the RAW options for editing... suck.
