Default My Orphek LED Lighting upgrade.

I recently upgraded my lights to the bigger Orphek PR-156. My corals are looking better in the last 4 weeks since the upgrade. Here are some pics. I was very excited when the fixture arrived and couldn't wait to get home to install it.

Thanks for the compliment. I cannot say enough about the Orpheks. I was using the PR-25 LED bulbs and an ML-7 moonlight from them as well before and this was a good upgrade in anticipation for my upcoming 120g upgrade. This step purchase makes the light purchase for the next tank a little easier for the wife to accept if you know what I mean.

Orphek sells direct...at least when I spoke to them recently that's how they told me I could buy their fixtures.

If you want to see this light in action, take a look at the huge 1350 Gal tank from Toronto on RC under large tanks. They've gone through Halide, T5HO, plasma and finally settled on Orphek's as their favorite LED. (they tested AI, and some other LED too).

Maybe Mr.Wilson will be selling them through his new endeavor

Hope to drop by when it's open; should be a top notch fish store

Sorry if the link is in violation of any rules.

Any updates on how you're liking this fixture above the current tank? Almost looks like it's burning a hole in your sandbed, even at the height you have it hanging in the photos!

These are fine looking fixtures. It seems that Orphek has put a lot of thought into the design of the fixture itself, not only the number & type of LED.

I would consider closing those hooks mate. One drunken farker bumping into that fixture could send the whole thing into the water.
