A small self-priming pump to toss in a bucket and then pull crap from the sump. That'd be a dream come true actually.

When I do a WC I siphon into a Brute, wheel the Brute to the bathroom then siphon to the bathtub to dump. Could see dropping a AquaCharge into the Brute to empty it but would be concerned with the crud I've siphoned from the tank (including macro, bristle worms, snails etc).

I'm lucky my sump is sitting about 4' off the floor and above a laundry sink, but for those sumps on the flr always the wet/dry shop vac

Hey Guys,

I thought a little more information might be relevant for the discussion:

Pump dimensions:

7" L x 4" W x 6.5" H (with handle).

- So not a huge pump, most people can find a space for this in the sump during those times where they want to pump it out for cleaning etc. It could of course also be used to pump detritus from the sump right out and directly to the sink.

As for the screen, it will easily block macro algae, snail shells and other small debris. Check out this photo:
