Default FF Life Sand - Calgary

So here's the deal. Around December, I had an outbreak of velvet in my tank. I'm not sure where it came from but I ripped down my tank and pulled out all the live sand.
There's two 5 gallon buckets. It's mixed black and white or salt and pepper if you prefer.
From my reading, the velvet will only survive without a host for approx. two months with 99.0% certainty so the sand should be fine. It's been six months.
I want it out of here so min. one bucket pick up.
Thanks,
Patrick

PS: I don't think the sand is alive any more. Maybe but I doubt it. Title maybe a little miss leading. It's not dry though.
