I find anything that's not green is slow growing.

Glad to hear its not just mine that are going slow. I have two frags like the one you are showing. One of them has encrusted and then stopped growing and the other one hasn't done a thing. My parameters are all bang on as far as growing conditions go so I guess we just need to be patient.

I am with fishytime, what is your magnesium at? I have a similar one in my tank. An ice fire and until I started dosing magnesium, it was like yours, it wouldn't grow.

I've had a few frags like that and they're kinda funny. I found mine to be very picky in EXACTLY where it is. I have a new one similar to that that I literally had to put under my giant Milli where it gets less light but in such a way that it gets a ridiculous amount of flow. Within days of being there it colored right up and started growing.

Aside from that, I have to agree with the Mg idea.

Never was able to test mag, no mater what brand i used. have a 1 gallon jug of Randy 3 part mag, but dont wanna add it without acurate testing results. could very well be low. i use reef crystals with 25% Bi weekly water changes.

Im not saying that this is what is for sure the issue here......its just that those three (Ca, Mg, and DKH) form this symbiotic triangle..... when this symmetry is achieved, magical things happen with sps.....try and get yourself a test kit or get a sample in to a LFS.......and like others have said.....most of the thinner branched SPS are deep water species and dont need to be bombarded with light, but do love flow......try and find a suitable spot and leave it be (if you can....I know its hard sometimes)
