Im just curious if I can turn my brand new never seen water aqueon 75e gallon tank into a rimless tank by taking off the black top trim. the dimensions of the tank are 48*18*20. the glass thickness is 5/16?

put the dimensions into an online aquarium calculator and it will tell you the saftey factor of it being rimless .

No just get your eurobracing cut to the size you want, run a bead along the rim press your glass down smooth with finger (Inside Only!!!) let it all dry then take a razor and cut off the excess on the outside.

I would put a piece of masking tape along the edge on the outside as well, this will help stop any smears from the silicone.
