I second this. Love my pheonix 14k bulb compared to the ushio's. Found the 10,000k really yellow and the 20,000k extrememly blue. I think they have a 17.5k or something around there, never seen it in action

Phoenix 14K and XM 10K are my top two.

Huh 10k eh? Seems like they would be slightly on the yellow spektrum wouldnt it? (totally not sure, more of a question on how they looked color wise) I was eyeing the xm 15k. but still not sure.

The XM 10K is a good value. High PAR and low price. Great for growth but if you want nicer color then the Phoenix might be a better choice. That or run them with actinic supplementation.

I've just got my first set of pheonix bulbs on friday, and the color is amazing! I'm planning to by the same bulbs again, next round.

I am running Ushio 10K right now, and they are far from yellow, actually very very white. When I ran the pheonix, they were 14K, and I can say they were really nice also.

I'm basing my results off of JDigits 75gal when he lived with me. He had to add supplimentals after due to the kelvin of bulb. But to each their own. Personally, the pheonix was amazing after everything I have read. It did get a bit whiter since I plugged it in

I think another good thing about the phoenix is decent quality for a decent price. I bought my 14K for about $70-80 per bulb. Not bad for what you get, compared to some of the more expensive units.

exactly. I think they are only $10 less than the ushio. How much are the GE's going for?
