I found that crystal glass can cut custom size glass so I am going to give them a call tomorrow, pick up the new sump, baffle it thursday and hopefully sunday I will be able to do a leak test on the tank.

my biggest issue was finding glass. also what is the best silicone to use.

I would suggest using GE Silicone II http://reefchronicle.com/wp-content/...-reef-safe.jpg (pic), make sure it is window and door and does not have any mildue supresent in it. The window and door should not have mildue supresent anyway but it never hurts to check the back of what you buy. You can get it at HD or Rona for like 6 bucks I think. It is definatly aquarium safe and it even used to say on the back a number of years ago that it was but that was removed for legal reasons. I have used it tones and in my estimation it is the best bang for your buck and safe too. It also comes in smaller tubes that do not say window and door but it is the same thing, just make sure it is 100% silicone and you are good to go.
PS: I suggest not buying the red tube 100% silicone I as more often then not it has mildue supresent as it is kitchen & bath and it is white usually.....looks stupid.
Clear 100% silcone is the way to go......or you can get aquarium silcone for $20 a tube at the lfs......

It will actually look more like this (first pick is the old tude) http://www.followsteph.com/wp-conten.../caulking2.jpg

And I just checked it out you can get black if you want but I am not sure about that one. I have never used or researched it. Seems like if it is 100% silcone and exactly the same product but black it should be ok. Anyway good luck on the sump I have to build another one comin up here and that is what I am using GE silcone II 100% -clear.

You can also baffle with acrylic from sheets that you can cut yourself. Sheets can be found at home depot or Rona. Industrial Paints and Plastics has a great selection too and they can cut the acrylic for you.

My silicone of choice is the Home Hardware brand. It states right on the label that it is safe for aquariums.

I haven't used that one exactly. I've used GE silicone 1, it's at home depot, $4 for a tube. The home depot by my house sells it in a squeeze tube aswell(like a toothpaste tube). I've seen at the one by my house, but couldn't find it at another home depot, so might only be some stores. Both carried the caulking gun sizes tube though, and for $4 you can't go wrong.
