Thank you. And yes spending time with family is very important. Im focusing on this in between taking care of my 4 month old son and spending some time with my husband. My husband was at work so i waited until my son was either napping to come on here or I had him in my lap while he attempted to type on the keyboard with me.

I have the salinity in the QT at 1.016. Unfortunately the lights went out in my tank and she went in her hole to sleep for the night. I had to put my son to bed too. Im up now for a feeding and to clean up the poop my dog left on the floor for me. Nice eh? Stupid dog. But i love him... but not this early in the morning when im cleaning up a mess i shouldnt. grrrrr.

I will try to catch her in the morning and put her in QT. As of right now i dont have anything garlic other than food that currently has garlic in it as part of its ingredients and I have no meds. My husband has our truck and he works for the next couple of days so I wont be able to get any meds until then.
Im hoping the warm water and the new life spectrum with garlic works until I can get some meds and garlic extreme or something along those lines.

Im not worried about her fin any more. Its looking so much better. Its growing back faster than I thought and the whiteness at the base is going away. Im more worried with the cloudy film thats covering her entire body that started at her gills. And her cloudy eye.
I know its not popeye. Ive had fish that have had it before.
I wish I could identify what she has. But I cant find anything matching this discription.

I love my coral beauty. Its my fav fish and shes why I got into the hobby in the first place. I hope she makes it.

They are nice fish I have had a couple over the years. her eye is cloudy for a reason it is injured. a injured eye goes cloudy because a very fine skin grows over the eye so it can heal, or she is going blind in that eye as it is dieing it goes cloudy. Going blind in an eye is normally not the case. A fish will cover it body with a film to protect it from some thing affecting a part of it or some thing in the water. A fish will also product a slime coat to try and protect its self from disease.

your alk is low what is you dkh at now? Ca being low would not do this. I would ting there has to be some thing else wrong with the tank or she has some thing, to stress her out like this.

alk is 4.0 dkh is 11.2.
Good thing i didnt get a chance to catch her last night though. The heater stopped working and the QT tank temp went below 60. Its cold in our house lol.

Lights arent on yet so i cant even see her. Heck i cant see any fish right now. I will take a closer look again when they come on. Her eye isint cloudy all over. Just the top half and one of the sides of her eye. Her body is cloudy all over like a thin cloudy film that started at her gills. I will get more info when lights come on.

Im wondering if this could be delayed stress from being transported from lfs to here? I dont know. Gotta wait a few hours for water to warm up again now before moving her... If i can catch her first.

Im wondering if i should pick up some activated carbon too and see if that will do anything like improve health of corals. There may be some chemical warfare going on. They are recent additions and were pretty stressed from a 2 day shipment.

Alright so i got a closer look at her. Her eye is clearing up. its almost clear now. Her body is still the same with a slime coat and she is pale.
She is eating very well and swimming normally but she is uncomfortable. She didnt act uncomfy yesterday. Today she is shaking her head around a bit and scratching herself against the skimmer. Not the rocks.

Personally, I would try giving her a PraziPro dip. I am suspecting flukes and/or worms. In a couple days if that doesn't help I would put her in a QT using water from the tank she is in now, at normal salinity, and treat her with PraziPro for the full treatment listed on the bottle.

Ok so shaking of the head and flashing and body is pale. common signs of flukes I would get Prazi-pro
garlic extreme
and selcon
Meds will not do a thing against flukes.
you can have it on have just in case If you dip a FW dip some of the flukes will come off and you can conferm that she has them this will also help while you are waiting to get some Prazi-pro. Prazi-pro dip is not a recommended treatment rather a tank treatment is recommended treatment the container says you can treat for 5 - 7 day I have done it twice and I would go for the full 7 day treatment. If you have to use the powder version it is the same treatment but you have to use it in a QT where you can use prazi-pro in the DT, I would only do this if you can not catch her quickly get her into a QT all treatment should be carried out in a QT if possible.
