Wow, you're just having all sorts of bad luck nowadays, eh Lance?
I don't wipe down my skimmer neck. I use a cheap scrubber brush from IKEA and rinse the gunk down the sink. Nothing to clog. When I worked at the local Shell station years ago, had a guy literally run out of gas at the entrance of the station. Couldn't squeeze another 10 feet out of it. He then spent 15 minutes running in to pay a deposit on a jerry can, fill the can, run in to pay for the gas, pour gas in, drive to the pump and fill her up, return jerry can and get back deposit and pay for the gas he put in. It was quite amusing although he looked kinda stressed, although probably not as wheezy as Delphinus
