Default 150w MH Over 29H?

Is it enough?

Tank is 30inch wide, 12inch deep, and 18inch high.

Yes,
I had a 150 HQI over a 20H for a year,
keeping clams and many other LPS and soft coral very happy.
If you keep things like this or less light demanding it will be fine.

Well, Im hoping to be able to keep some SPS, and other stuff.

Mainly a zoa/ricordea garden in the sand bed/lower rocks.

And a SPS garden @ the top of my rockwork.

I might go with the 150w sunpod instead, apparently its perfect for a 30inch tank.
