Default 40 Breeder (36x18x16high) vs 65 Gal (36x18x24H)

Hello All, what would you recomment for my first venture into saltwater? I want to be able to keep all types of corals, as well, I guess i should note that i will have a 15Gal sump, and planning on a DIY LED project for this. What do you guys think?

i have a huge soft spot for 40 breeders so thats what i would reccomend. the shallow look is amazing but either are great choices.

For a 24" tank, you'll need much more powerful lights to achieve the same success as with a shallow tank. Tall tank has advantage for increasing flow options, but a shallow tank is much cheaper/easier to properly light.
