I just picked up an OM 4 way from another user on here, and I love it. You can set up many flow patterns with the various drum version so you're limitless really on what you can do. It took me 4 months of waiting for one to come up for sale on here, but I did get a heck of a deal on it...it pays to wait a while if you're looking for a deal. I've also ordered parts from Paul & Cass, and their service is top notch

If all you have for your returns is 3/4" you could use a slightly less expensive super squirt however you will lose some flow if you do. If money is a real issue you may be able to pick either one up used if you advertise that you are looking and wait a little while.

Or send AllClearPG a PM. He has been trying to get people together to do a large order from Oceams Motions so that he can get a wholesalers account with them. I dont know what the price would be through him but it would be less than what is advertised on their site.

Ah sorry I got confused for a moment. Definitely find a 4-Way then so that you can use larger diameter plumbing.

Here is how I plumbed the return through the OM 4-Way on my 120gal. I was partially modeling it after this tank of the month: http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2006-10/totm/index.php

That is ExACTLY what I had in mind.... Did you just leave the PVC fitting in the water or did you use loc line?

Loc line doesnt come in 1" sizes so all I have now is PVC. I had to modify four 1" PVC 90º fittings to get the angle that I wanted. You can see where I cut them and how they are just below the surface in this picture.

If I stand in front of my tank and look at it I barely notice that they are there. They are mostly covered in coraline now but if you really want to make them invisible you could probably paint them blue or back depending on what color your background is.

When I used to use 3/4" plumbing with loc line flare nozzles the configuration looked like this:

Thank you for the help i plan to do the same type of thing If I understand correctly using a 4 way I don't need individual ball valves or gate valves per outlet as the 4 way alternates flow but it would be a good idea to use valves if I just striaght pipe it from the CL pump??
Where did everyone buy their OM 4 ways??
