Default The Equipment

I'm fairly cheap and seeing alot of the cost of things in this hobby are quite expensive, I like to bring to the table the "DYI"

So I just modded my Aquaclear 20 hang'on to fit a home made limewood skimmer and water quality is superb and crystal clear.

This is a top of a 500ml pop bottle, tubing from a flourescent light guard, a couple of O rings and zip ties, 1/2 inch PVC tubing and of course the limewood airstone.

Skimmer in action!!

Here's what it's pulling out....Gross!!

And the DYI 50/50 Light fixture

Looking great! Love the DIY skimmer!

Nice bumblebee shrimp! They are so neat!

I hope your mandarin is eating prepared foods?

Thanks for sharing!

Chris

Actually the pod production in the tank is pheonomenal, but I will be getting the mandarin on frozen if I can.

Im glad you'll be trying to get it in frozen. Even with a booming pod population in there, there is no way it could support a mandarin not eating prepared foods.

Good luck!

Cheers,

Chris
