I am well aware of the Solaris saga having read lots of threads about it on RC. The Aquaillumination company seems to have a better system with higher output LED's as far as I can see. However it would probably be wise to wait a few years for the price of LED units to come down, the output to go up and the reliability to improve.

![]() Imo, LEDs aren't "there" yet. They still a need a few more years before they are up to snuff I think. I wouldn't buy them right now. Look at what happened to PFO.

![]() OK just bumping up an old thread, I still haven't upgraded my lighting yet and still deciding on either PowerModule or AquaIllumination LED fixture.
For people who have a PowerModule, how well will it grow SPS in the lower part of the tank?
