I am debating about ordering that Odyssea 48" 2x250watt Metal Halide unit to try out my little theory. its only $200us and at that price I can still keep the T5's laying around.

$181 for each 250 watt galaxy ballast (they make a dual ballast that will run two 250s and comes out cheaper per watt; Josh had one). I had one too but it kept failing so now I run just singles.
