I have lyretail anthias as well as a squareback in different tanks mind you. They are
my favorite fish, they have been easy and add some nice color. |

So I just realized I did the stupidest thing in the world. The tank is polished and has beautiful beveled edges but instead of putting anything under it I just set it on the stand. Just learned that's a big no no, apparently you can crack your tank REALLY easy by doing this so to anyone setting up a tank make sure you put plywood followed by a layer of foam down on top of your stand. Will grab new photos when I swap it over. Levi |

http://www.reefs.org/library/talklog...chterm=anthias He does not recommend the purple queen. My own experience and the experience of a few reefers concerning the lyre tail is poor. I put them in as a shoal and one by one they just disappear. Same thing happened when I tried again and I won't try them again. |

That's what I have always heard about Anthias, I'm going to wait for the 170 to establish before I even think of adding a tricky shoal like that.
