There are a couple threads in here about this eel. Very cool eel BTW. I'll look for them and post them here, but in the meantime, here's a quick brain dump:

All eels are notorious for escaping their tanks. It's not a question of "if" they'll try at some point, it's a question of "when". I lost my first golden dwarf eel and it was a shocker because I thought I had the tank adequately covered. I was wrong. They are capable of climbing out at least 1/3 of their body length and capable of squeezing through small holes.

An eel is an eel so anything that can fit into their mouths is at risk. The nice thing about a golden dwarf is that they are tiny. I have one and I would say it cannot eat anything larger than 1/4" or 3/8" at this point. If he gets bigger that may change but for now that seems to be about the bite size.

I did see mine take a lunge at my sailfin tang but I think that was more of a personality skirmish than a "Oh wow dinner for a week" sort of thing. But it does go to show that maybe smaller fish could *eventually* be at risk if they start getting territorial.
