Here is a Precision Marine skimmer I had on my 230, then on my 90..

Here is my DIY one that I had made for my 46Gal Bowfront that I moved onto the 230

And now I have a SWC skimmer #DDWN 250 on my 180Gal..

And the collection container after 1 month

for scale it is 6" diameter and about 24" tall

Oooo...what would 1 month worth of skimate smell like? Does it get better with age? Yikes!

Hmm....one month worth for me would be about 6 gallons.

OK...here's my new skimmer. It is still a bit of an installation-in-progress...

My stock skimmer broke on my Solana 34G so I bought a Euro-Reef Nano NS2.5-4. It's made especially for the Solana & for those who don't know, they do a whole bunch of Nano skimmers to fit most Nano tanks.

Anyway, I've not yet installed it so pics are pretty much straight out of the box.

Just out of the Box - 01

Just out of the Box - 02

Collection Cup, Clamp & Air Pump Silencer.

Pump.

Clamp.

Collection Cup.

Assembled.

Now let's just hope it works better than the stock skimmer!
