![]() Jeez, I haven't even heard of most of these!!
![]() You might be right with squarrosa...if not, that is very close. Definitely not maryae. After hunting around on that site you linked to above, I think it might be Acropora plantaginea. The color descriptions match too seeing as the base color is yellow-brown. That's a great site! Book marked it. ![]() Last edited by Myka; 10-07-2009 at 10:45 PM. |

![]() A. squarrosa is the closest to the picture displayed. The Axial corallites look exactly like its radial corallites.. a big distinction in A. squarrosa.

![]() Yeah, don't think it's a maryae either.
The AIMS coral pages are probably among the best online place to ID SPS corals - although a bit tricky to navigate. But they have pictures of whole large colonies to close up of bare skeletons, which makes for easier IDing. And a lot of pretty pictures ![]() |

![]() Does the frag you received look like the pic? I'm asking because Ken does have one coming so I think I'll grab it.

![]() Thanks Atomikk, I think that's the best ID I can get for now. Maybe revisit it in a year when it has grown.

![]() Myka, when those colonies get a little larger, I may need to procure a small frag... for identification purposes >>
