Needs for my tank

I currently have a 55gallon salt-water tank and needs some updating for a good price.

I need a new top for my tank for my wife fears that are cats may one day have a different opinion on why we got a salt water tank. 48 * 12 * 19 (if it comes with a built in light that would be great)

Currently im still using the T-8 lights and would like to move into the modern world of T-5

I don’t own a protein skimmer at all and from what I have been reading it is best to have one and don’t know where to start with one of those.

Im using a Fluval 304 filter

If anyone knows where I can find my needs I would be appreciated.

None of my needs need to be new as you can see I am currently using older products and don’t know if they are good enough for what I want so any ideas or suggestions or anyone with extra unwanted equipment feel free to let me know.

Also looking for more live rock, clown fish, and damsels, an all pink or close to pink fish (something that will not kill everything in my tank) that’s reasonable priced and willing to travel to acquire used or new items.
