Default Sump & Stand question

Hi all,
I have a tank, measurements are 20 1/4 x 18", this guy has a sump that is 21 x 17 x 28H, it is a bit larger than tank, my question is, could I make a stand that will house the sump and still be solid enough for the tank as the tank will obviously not be sitting on the 2 x 4 walls of the stand (I know this could be a stupid question)? If so, how would I do it?
thanks, Angela

Sure, just top the stand with plywood. Can also put in a cross member if worried but 20x18 isn't that big of tank (unless really tall).
