Pictures are not working.

Did the tank have sand in it before you moved it from your co-workers place to your own? Disturbing this sand can release built up toxins that have fallen under the surface of the sand into non-oxygenated zones to rot. This would poison the water extremely fast. If this is the case I would do a 50% water change pretty much immediately and keep doing 10% every day for a good week.

Thought Id say that right away since time is of the essence if thats the case.

Ya I know the pic's are not working. I am new to inserting photos. does it take a long time to upload or is it somthing I did wrong. Any advise would help.

The tank had sand, live rock, fish and inverts. When I moved the tank. I saved 50% water. The fish, invert and live rock I left at his placed with heaters and air lines. I moved the tank with sand. I set up the tank to running operation and slowly added heated ro water mixed with salt 5G every hour. I put a heater, power head and skimmer in the tank running through the whole prosses. I picked up the fish, inverts, live rock two day later. That was over 9 month ago.

To insert a photo, upload a picture online to a free account (eg. Photobucket). Copy the web address and do the following:

I know it sounds confusing at first. I had the hardest time figuring it out cause I'm not very good with computers. Hope that this helps.

I still don't know how to insert smiley faces and all the other icons like other people do.

Hope this helps.

just make sure you only have 1 "http://" in your link... and you should be fine... Photobucket automatically resizes pics if they are too big..

Default Sunday Oct 13 2008.

Now I have figured on how to insert Photos. thanks again for all the help. On Oct 13 2008. I when to pick up my tank. My friend from work that was selling it helped me move it. First we removed all the live rock, inverts and fish into 20 gallon rubber maid containers with water. We added heaters and air lines. we drained all the water except 50% we saved. We left the live rock, invets and fish to be picked up later. we moved the tank with the sand in it. On the way home I picked up 2 more bag of sand from LFS. We set the tank on the stand. Then it was all up to me. I set the tank to operation running. I washed the new sand mixing it with the old. I save half bag for the sump. I put a heater, power head and skimmer into the display tank. Added the save water. At this point I cleaned the tank. Then ever hour add 5G of heated salt mixed ro water. As fast as the ro purifier made. 10pm the next day everything was running. Day late I picked up the live rock, inverts and fish. i put them in climatized them first of course. I most likely did alot of thing wrong, not bad for a guy that did not have a clue. It came out good. Now I can start posting photo and progress of my tank over the last 9 months.
