I am not sure about the cost....might be cheaper to buy ordinary glass and do some bracing

Aww, dude that sucks. Probably cheaper to buy a new tank, but go with a thicker glass for that panel if you decide to replace it so you don't have to brace it. Braces are such a pain...

Shitty, but 20 gal longs are usually tempered, standard 20 gals are not.

If you replace the back you won't be able to use thicker glass if you want the black trim to fit. And the same thickness untempered with a hole won't be strong enough.

So what would the thickness ratio have to be if I were to replace it straight glass
