Smile Anemone spot feeding

Hi guys,

Can anyone recommend any good foods to feed a bubble tip anemone, other than krill?

I make a mix of frzn foods (mostly mysis) and squirt that in. Must work since the BTAs are growing like crazy.

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but what is a "silverside" anyways?

Silversides are a small whole fish, and should be available frozen at your LFS. They usually have to be cut at least in half per feeding. My RBTAs will puke them back up because they are too big.

Silversides, for sure! Mine go nuts for them. I chop two of them into 6 to 8 pieces and dump them in. My two Sebae clowns then gather them and distribute them among my 4 RBTA accordingly. Fantastic symbiotic relationship that I could watch for hours on end.

My sebae will eat anything. I bought a few more turbo snails the other day and accidentally dropped one on the nem and it was gone within minutes and the shell appeared right beside him the next day. The nem is very docile with all the fish though, they all hang out there (bangaii, chromis, clowns and damsel, sometimes even the cleaner shrimp) we call it the public anemone

When I target feed him he loves the squid!

Oh really? Thats wicked.... hehe I definately have to try the squid.

My bubble tip doesn't really like silversides. It is spitting them out, even though i make it into a mash about the same size as krill. Any advice on getting it to eat silversides?

has anyone heard of using vitamin supplements for fish food on anemone's? Found this weird article online.... cant remember the name though.....
