Default Has anyone used the Euro-Reef nano skimmer?

I am fed up with my 9002 on my 30 g cube.

I've read that the Euro-Reef nano skimmer is good. However from looking at the design, it looks like the skimmate output is regulated by the balance between back-pressure from the foam piece on the water outlet, and the height of the skimmer cup/neck. In other words you would keep having to adjust the skimmer as the foam slowly clogs up, in order to keep get consistent skimmate output. So I was thinking of somehow adding a gate valve or similar mod.

My other option was the Bubble Magus, in-tank nano skimmer, it looks like the same design as the Euro-Reef but cheaper and not as good a pump/impeller.

Anyone who has used either skimmer care to comment?
