Default Cloudy and not in a good way

So I get home and I look at the tank and its really cloudy so I am thinking I should clean the glass.... And nope that did not help I have no idea what happened but I have a few interesting things.

1) My Zoa looks eaten maybe not sure but its gone
2) The mushrooms are shriveled up
3) Hammer Coral is tight not loose and wavy
4) some sps frags are not happy
5) One dead snail
6) really cloudy water

All the fish seem fine they ate like champs the fish are (2 true percs, Pajama Cardinal, Mystery Wrasse, Blue spot jaw fish)

Peppermint shrimp still around and seems fine.

Ammonia, nitrates, nitrites all zero

I also believe that I have a eunice worm hiding in the rock.

any ideas what happened?

Looks ok to me. Zoas will often have days where they close up and when they open they often look better than before. Shrooms in my tank shrink and expand all the time, yours look OK.

When in doubt do a water change and run carbon.

I don't have a before photo but imagine that where you can see the glue is covered in zoa's.

It looks like a large chunk just disappeared and ended up in the vortec?

If part of your Zoa was been ground up by your Vortec then that is the reason why your tank is cloudy. I would keep an eye on your Ammonia levels.
Keep us posted.

I have found that zoanthids hate plastic, whether its plugs or crazy glue.... I used to think that the heads were multiplying, but then realized that they were just creeping off the plastic plugs they were on. Not sure about the hazy water.

I did a 40% water change last night and right now everything it looking ok, still cloudy but not to bad.

All the fish are pigs tonight so thats good to see.

I have to go with fishytime looking at were the Zoa's use to be all I see if glue, so what I think happened it that they just released themselves and got pulverized by the vortec releasing any toxicity they had.
