![]() I'm on board with the tank size for sure. I tried to keep a very small Foxface in my 45 until he got big enough to go in my main tank. All he did was freak out (the mottled black look
![]() After ten minutes he was swimming around like he owned the place. A 70 might not be big enough unless you could get one built that was long and narrow. And then you would have to start worrying about gas exchange with a smaller surface area. Just my two cents ![]()

![]() Hi, try installing a grounding probe for stray voltage. Voltage measuring in milliamps can cause stress among livestock. regards Ken

![]() What is your calcium reading? You said you dose with purple up every 3-4 days. How much?

![]() I'm not sure what my calcium levels are, I'll have to check when I get home.
The purple up bottle says one capful for every 50 gallons. no more than once per day. I'm doing one capful every 3-4 days. Could my pH be causing unecessary stress? |

![]() No, the tank is causing the stress. It's too small for the tang so it goes nuts which in turn makes all the other fish go on edge.

![]() I have to agree, a 90g should be the absolute minimum for a yellow tang. I know you're a good guy so I hope you do the right thing and re-home the tang asap.

![]() So I talked to my building manager, The most I can get in is a 70 gallon tank. The Tang is still small, and if I can get a nice long one, it should provide enough swimming room for the guy.
Thanks everyone for your help. Really appreciate your input! |
