Thats awesome... I did it 3 years ago to support my mom who has lung cancer..... was weird at first but 3 years later i'm still lov'n it..... I accually was considering growing it back about a month ago but when it started coming in and I seen how much grey there was I instantly liked having a shaved head again

Cheers

I shaved my mom's head just over a year ago when she started losing her hair in clumps due to chemotherapy for her breast cancer. I remember it very clearly...crying my eyes out secretly while I stood behind her and shaved her head. That's all the head shaving I hope to ever do, but I thank supporters very much! My mom is now "cancer free".

I shaved my head when my mom got breast cancer a few years back. I will never have hair again. If anyone in the interior is interested there is a cancer golf tourny fundraiser in sicamous evey summer. It is a best ball situation, so the golf is fair for all levels and there is a wack of beer involved.
The tourny was started when my mom got cancer so it is sort of in her name.

That's great! Post some before and after pics

I don't remember this but my mom tells me that the first time I went through chemo, my only concern was that I had lost my hair. I was 6. It's hard to believe that through all the pain of chemo and the possibility of death, the only thing that scared me going out in public with no hair.

My cancer came back 3 times in the next 10 years after first diagnosed and each time my biggest fear was loosing my hair. Every remission I would grow my hair and hated ever getting hair cuts.

5 years of remission ended a few years back and once again chemo...

But after the last time I decided to keep my head shaved so that my hair is not something cancer can take from me ever again.

It's always nice to hear of people supporting cancer. Without you, people like me would not have lived past 6. Thank you.

My wife cut and donated ~ 13" of hair to a wig organization for cancer patients this spring.

Congrats to all who help support!
