Initial plans are for 2 Tunze 6080s. In a standard 120G (48X18WX24H) in you experience will the Reef Grade Sand stay put if I am planning on using 2XTunze 6080 pointed at each other across the 48" length of the tank. Each Tunze produces 2500 GPH......
Or will I still get bare glass batches on the bottom of my tank as I did with sugar sand? What do you think?
If you are pointing them at each other i don't think it matters what you use you are still going to get bare spots. Mine are pointing at different areas of the tank and i don't have any bare spots per say. I have spots that the sand is a little thinner but not so you can see the bottom and it hasn't moved since the day i added everything in it...

You also have a deeper tank than I, so it might work better...

Brad if you don't want it, just tell me when to come over and pick it up. That would be awesome. Thanks

Probably tomorrow night, I'm home all night. There's a few zeorocks mixed in, but you can sift them out!

Please post a follow up once you get it in. I'm having the same problem with 2 6100's in my 120.

Thanks!

No problem. Hopefully I can get the sand in the tank & I'll do an update after the weekend.

Actually, I recall the previous owner of that tank had this sand and was running 2 Tunze 6100 pumps and a seaswirl return. His sand stayed mostly where he put it.
