all tanks are different, and there are so many factors involved.
best thing to do is email KZ and i have in the past, and ask a few questions and get it right from the horses mouth.

try it again and do the 5% every 2weeks, for a month and if your not liking the results, then use the deltec.
i have 1/4 a bucket of deltec here i can ship out to ya.

You know I only used the KZ salt at the start of ZEO, so I really should have given it a longer shot. I can't really even remember why I didn't like it.

I actually change more than 5% a week right now. I change about 10% or 25G which is becoming costly. I think I will go to 5% (12G) or maybe as low as 5G a week to make things really easy. We'll see. Maybe 5G of Deltec and 5G of KZ each week

trust me, i was doing 10% wc using just RBS and it was just making the SPS lighter. try the 5%, your saving time and money.
and i was just checking out yout thread. about the kh dropping like crazy, i had the same thing happen to me, as i said the RBS blows for buffering your tank, i dose now 75ml carbonate in the night, and 5tsp ca in the morning, just to keep the levels of kh-6-7.5 and ca- 380-430
growth has been insane, and the shipping costs,
maybe if i am ever out there i will bring it along.

Does the salt really make that big a diff? I switched from IO a month ago to
H2O and in the last 4 weeks have lost two of my fav. SPS to RTN (10% water change per wk. on 300 gal system) I have been using Instant ocean for the past 18 years without issue and decided to try higher end mix figuring better results and am quite dissapointed. For the extra cash is it really worth it? I see tanks like Marie has and she has phenominal growth and color without the high end salts or the Zeo system.

I think it does. IO has basically nothing in it. You end up supplementing so much Ca, Mg and ALK that IMO its not worth it for anything other than a FOWLR tank.

But I mean, if you don't need it, don't bother...use IO if its working for you.
